What does your logo mean?

What is Integrative Medicine?

Integrative Medicine is a specialty where the focus is on restoration of health and disease prevention. It considers all aspects of lifestyle, nutrition and mind-body medicine. It is informed by evidence and makes use of complementary therapies in addition to traditional medicine.

Is the Integrative medicine consult covered by my insurance?

Integrative Medicine consultation usually lasts 60 to 90 minutes. These types of consult are not covered by the insurance at this time. We charge 200$ per hour for these consults.

We will be able to provide a superbill which you can provide to your insurance for reimbursement. Please call our office for more details.

What type of conditions do you treat with Integrative medicine consultation?

The most common conditions that benefit with this type of healing-oriented approach are prediabetes, stress management, autoimmune conditions, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, irritable bowel syndrome, early stages of high blood pressure, premenopausal and menopausal symptoms and many more.

 What kind of packages do you offer for weight loss?

 After the initial evaluation and an hour-long consultation with the doctor, there will be a detailed discussion on the type of weight loss solution that would be optimal for you. We offer guidance for several types of dietary plans including low carb and ketogenic meal replacements, anti-inflammatory diet and intermittent fasting. We can even provide more customized unique meal plans on request.

 

 How long is the commitment for the weight loss packages?

We need a commitment of minimum 2 months to join the weight loss package. This allows the patient benefit of utilizing all the services offered including body composition analysis, health trac app, nutritional counseling, behavioral therapy, lipotropic injections, frequent visits under a close supervision and doctor availability by phone and email.

 Do you prescribe anti-obesity medications?

 Yes, all FDA-approved obesity medications will be prescribed as needed for each individual patient.

Does the insurance cover weight loss services?

Most of the insurances cover the medical visit, labs and medications and some of the counseling services for patients affected with obesity. The insurance does not cover meal replacements, body composition analysis and lipotropic injections.

 

Can I just come for the body fat testing without signing up as a patient?

 Yes, it is possible to just do the body composition testing. It is not covered by insurance.

 This testing will last total of 30 minutes and includes a 10 to 15-minute visit with the provider to discuss the results. The cost is $50 for the initial one, and $25for each follow-up reports. There is no special preparation needed before the testing, you just need an appointment.

 

 What happens after the first two months of the weight loss package?

 It depends on the progress with weight loss and evaluation with the doctor. At the end of 2 months we will discuss several options including transition to maintenance phase that will include monthly visits or continuation of the current plan with adjustment of medications and frequent follow-up visits till goals are achieved.

 

Do you have a dietitian available?

 Yes, we do have an experienced dietitian who is available for consults She will be able to provide dietary consults as needed per patients request at the office. This service is covered by most insurances.

Do you offer any weight loss packages as a cash pay or take patients without insurance?

 Yes, we do have patients who see us without insurance coverage.  There are very affordable packages and flexible payment deals available. Please call us for any further inquiries.

 

What type of insurances do you take for weight loss services currently?

 We take all the major commercial insurances and Medicare. Please call us for further inquiries about your specific insurance coverage.

Do you offer any genetic testing?

 Yes, we have the genetic kits available. This is the future of medicine where by finding your own unique genetic makeup, diet and exercise strategies that are tailored to your genotype for weight loss and healthy aging are provided.

We can even mail the kit to your home if you are unable to come to the office. This testing will also include detailed counseling with the doctor about your results and a permanent access to the diet and exercise plan online. There is also a discount available if you have used genetic testing via 23andMe. Please call our office for further details.
